Azalea

Related to rhododendrons, azaleas are a spring flowering shrub known for their brightly coloured flowers that last for several weeks. They are relatively easy to care for and add colour to any garden. 

 

Azaleas need acidic soil in order to thrive.

Requirements: Full sun to part shade, moist acidic soil. 
 
Size: 100 cm W x 125 cm H
 
Zones: Hardy to zone 5. 
 
Bloom-time: Spring blooms. 
 
Description: Spring blooms in white, pink, and yellow. Light green foliage. Water well first year, protect from winter wind. 

Golden Lights Azalea

Requirements:  Full sun to part shade, rich acidic soil.
 
Size: 125 cm W x 150 cm H
 
Zones: Hardy to zone 4.
 
Bloom-time: Spring
 
Description: Fragrant spring blooms are yellow iwth peach flare. Medium green foliage with purple fall colour. Water well first year, protect from winter wind. 

Homebush Azalea

Requirements: Part shade, acidic soil. 
 
Size: 1.25 m W x 1.5 m H
 
Zones: Hardy to zone 5. 
 
Bloom-time: Spring
 
Description: Vibrant spring blooms in bright pink, semi-double. Purple fall foliage; moderate growth rate. Water well first year.

Description: Lavender purple spring blooms with dark purple blotch, dark evergreen leaves. 

Mandarin Lights Azalea

Requirements: Full sun part shade, rich acidic soil.
